Mrs. Michaela Barber is the Vice Principal of Repton School Dubai, the Inclusion and Safeguarding Governor of Foremarke School and the School Improvement Advisor to the CEO.
Michaela graduated from Kingston University, UK with an honours degree in Education, and achieved her NPQH in 2008. During her Educational career, she has been involved in a range of working party initiatives for educational reforms across the south coast of England with the majority of her time spent in Hampshire. She has an extensive knowledge of the English National curriculum for Primary and Early Years aged children and has experience in a wide range of Primary Schools culminating in her own Headship in 2010.
Prior to her appointment at Repton, Michaela worked for 3 years as a Senior Leader and Head of Primary in a large International School in Abu Dhabi which secured an ADEK Band A rating and BSME accreditation. Michaela has a wide range of experience in Primary Education, including the implementation of a skill-based curriculum, accelerating progress for all pupils and ensuring relevant, quality staff professional development to secure high standards of teaching for all.
Michaela has been recognized as one of the foremost junior school leaders globally, and has a passion for school improvement which lends itself fantastically to the ADEK charter schools project and the specific bundles being considered by the group focusing on early years and primary education.
